Rental Terms & Important Information
Before using our pedal-assist e-bikes or electric scooters (e-Vino), please read and agree to the following terms before booking.

1. Eligibility
General Information
Subleasing to third parties other than the borrower is prohibited.
Pedal-Assist E-Bike
No license required.
However, the following individuals are not eligible to ride:
Under 145cm in height
Children 8 years old and under
Those with no cycling experience
Electric Scooter: e-Vino (Moped class)
Original valid license for use in Japan required.
We will verify and take a copy of your license at check-in.
Rental is not available if your license is expired or not valid for this vehicle class in Japan.

Access to the Mount Danyama area is prohibited. A ¥20,000 penalty will be charged for violations.
2. NOC (Non-Operation Charge)
NOC (Non-Operation Charge) is a loss-of-use charge applied if the vehicle is unavailable due to accident, theft, or damage. You can choose to include NOC coverage when booking the e-Vino.

Note: Loss-of-use waiver does not apply in the following cases:
Driving without a license or under the influence (DUI)
Failure to report the accident to the police or our shop
Lending the vehicle to a third party
Serious traffic violations
3. Insurance & Coverage
Insurance Coverage
Our pedal-assist e-bike are covered by TS Mark Insurance.

Injury compensation
¥1 million for death/serious disability (grade 1-4) / ¥100,000 for hospitalization (15+ days).
Victim Solatium
¥100,000 for victim's hospitalization (15+ days).

Not covered
Note: TS Mark Insurance only covers accidents while operating the bicycle.
Insurance: e-Vino (Electric Scooter) : Provided by Sompo Japan Insurance Inc.

Important: Since physical damage insurance is not included, the renter is responsible for Vehicle repair costs / Damages not covered by insurance or due to terms violations / Loss-of-use charges (if NOC coverage is not selected)
4. Important Information Before Booking
Before Booking & Arrival
General Rules
Helmets: Provided free of charge. Must be worn at all times for your safety (e-Vino).
Riders: Strictly 1 person per vehicle. Tandem riding is prohibited.
Accidents/ Breakdowns: Stop riding immediately and contact us. You must also report to the police if required.
Repairs & Theft: The renter is responsible for actual costs of repairs or vehicle theft.
Restricted Area: Riding in the Danyama area is prohibited. A ¥20,000 fine applies for e-Vino violations.
Payment Methods
Cashless Only (No Cash)
Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, etc.
Transportation IC Cards: Suica, ICOCA, etc.
QR Payments: PayPay and others.
Booking & Cancellations
To cancel: Use the link at the bottom of your booking confirmation email.
Late arrivals: If more than 30 minutes late, your booking will be automatically canceled.
Contact us: Please call in advance if you expect to be late.
Battery (e-Vino)
Range: Approx. 10km per battery (1 spare included).
Exchange: Return to the shop for a battery swap before it is fully depleted.
Roadside Recovery: Actual costs will be charged for battery-related pickup requests.
5. Detailed Requirements (International Visitors)
License Requirements
e-Vino (Electric Scooter):
A valid license for use in Japan is required. Foreign nationals must meet specific international permit requirements to ride.
Electric-assist Bicycle:
No license required. All international visitors can ride without restriction.
Pattern A: With an International Driving Permit (IDP)
Required Documents
Original valid international driving permit (*Must be in the format of the 1941 Geneva Convention.)
Original driver's license from your home country (Copies and photos not accepted)
Original Passport(Copies and photos not accepted)
Conditions for IDP
Class A Stamp: Your IDP must have a stamp or authorization in the "A" (Motorcycle) category.
Format: Documents based on the 1968 Vienna Convention or other formats are not valid in Japan.
Validity: Must be within the expiration date (typically 1 year from issuance).
Entry Period: Must be within 1 year of your arrival date in Japan.

The "3-Month Rule" for Residents
If you are registered on the Basic Resident Register and re-enter Japan within less than 3 months of departure, your new entry date will not reset the 1-year driving period.
Note: We will verify your entry/exit records via your passport.
Pattern B: Foreign License + Japanese Translation
Eligible Countries/Regions
Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Estonia, Slovenia, Taiwan
Required Documents
Original Foreign License (issued by one of the countries above)
Official Japanese Translation (issued by JAF or authorized authorities)
Original Passport(Copies and photos not accepted)
Condition
Must be within 1 year of your arrival date in Japan.
Cases where rental is not available:
Invalid IDP: Any format other than the 1949 Geneva Convention.
No Class A: No stamp or authorization for "Class A" (Motorcycle).
Expired: Expired driver's license or IDP.
Over 1 Year: Stay in Japan has exceeded one year since arrival.
3-Month Rule: Re-entry in less than 3 months (entry date not reset).
No Original Documents: Failure to present original passport.
Digital Copies Only: Copies, photos, or screenshots are not accepted.
